Not your typical accountant.
Monica Rosario started her career in 2006 as an auditor at PwC working on large corporate accounts like Reuters and Sony Music. She went on to gain a more well-rounded experience at a smaller accounting firm, servicing small to medium sized businesses like Thompson Hotels and Le Mystere, performing financial statement reviews, compilations, and preparing tax returns. She eventually landed in various in-house corporate and production accounting / financial management roles at a few tv, film, and media companies, including Leopard USA, Vice Media and NowThis Media.
Over the course of 15 years in varying professional settings, she honed in on her unique niche and natural strengths - understanding and translating the language, needs, concerns, and initiatives of both finance and non-finance, creative teams; bridging the gaps between the two in a way that offers clarity and moves goals and projects forward on both sides. With this in mind, she began working independently with her first production client in 2020.
Monica has the discipline, organization and straightforwardness that is required in accounting and finance, with the calm, grounded, and easy-going way of being and working that is able to successfully operate in and support creative environments. She prides herself on easily navigating and improving less structured businesses, anticipating clients’ needs, and staying on top of business operations from a micro and macro level. Her clients trust and rely on her to keep things moving forward, in order, and in alignment with their financial and operational goals.
She is primarily based in the Hudson Valley, NY and is a certified public accountant with 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and managing business relations and projects.
Current and most recent clients include Happy Street Entertainment, Roller Coaster Road Productions, Unvaled Productions, E/S Collab, and Pelua Productions.
